Buffon Summer Camp

3 Day or 6 day camps available for the week of September 4-9
Set in a beautiful beach-side location right across the street from Hotel Ignatia and numerous taverns, and a short trip to Nafplio, there is plenty to do for the family on a short holiday!
Camps are half-day training: morning sessions are for our younger participants, and afternoon/evening sessions are reserved for our more experienced participants.
Each day, will participants will receive at least two hours of Buffon Method training.

Nea Kios soccer field
The municipal soccer field of Nea Kios is a full, natural grass field. It is ideal in that it does not heat up like turf fields do, making it easier and cooler to move around in the summer. The soft ground is perfect for goaltenders as they learn to fall safely and gracefully, catching those goal attempts.

Aspiring and experienced goalkeepers of all ages will benefit from Buffon Method’s proven approach in this unique and life-changing experience.
The Buffon Summer Camp coaching team is comprised of Buffon Football Academy’s Head Coach, coming directly from Italy. Ignite Sport’s technical director, Aris Savourdos, as well as six other Greek coaches, all with goalkeeper training experienced have been specifically educated in the Buffon Method to bring the best, most current training specific to goalkeepers.

Coach Christian was born in Bologna, Italy. He graduated magna cum laude in sports science. He is a professional goalkeeper coach, coached in Serie A with Bologna and in Serie B with Salernitana.
He won 2 Primavera “Scudetti” with Lazio and a U17 one with Fiorentina. He directly managed the goalkeeping department, in Fiorentina, as well as last year at Perugia. In 2020, he contributed to the establishment of the Buffon Academy and subsequently oversaw its developments in Italy and abroad.
Ignite Sport coaches have all received specialized training and certification in the Buffon Method and have experience in training goalkeepers specifically. They come from Athens and all over the Peleponnese.
